The Mediation Process First Step At DéDannan Law and Mediation, we meet with each party individually, this can be in person or remotely, we discuss mediation, how it is a voluntary and completely confidential process, we run through the mediation process, and what happens in mediation, and how it can help you and your family. Second Step After the initial session, the next step is joint sessions, this is where the conflict or issues are discussed by all parties, each party will have a chance to speak and also be heard, this is when there will be a chance to find a constructive way to work through your conflicts. Third Step After the mediation finishes, the parties have reached an agreement, the Parenting Plans, Budgeting Sheets, Memorandum of Understanding, and DIY Divorce paperwork are prepared.
