Electrical Services by Emerald Power Process Site Identification Once a site has been identified as a potentially good fit for a solar farm we carry out a number of surveys and inspections to ensure that the site is suitable to house a solar farm and identify energy requirements for a potential grid connection. Terms of Lease Once we have carried out our initial surveys and inspection we will then draft up a legal document for the leasing of the land. Leases typically can range from a 25 - 30 year lease. Planning Permission Once an agreement is in place we then go about seeking planning permission with the initial design of the farm and also speak with grid operators to ensure that we can acquire a stable grid connection. Development Once planning permission has been acquired then we can begin building the farm which will typically take around 4-6 months from start to finish.
